Close Calls & Reviews:
In the second inning the Rockies challenged a force play at second base where Kendrick failed to catch the throw from Justin Turner at third, but was able to control it with his bare hand before Stubbs got to the bag. After review it was fairly clear that the runner was out but it was challenged nonetheless. This was probably a result of an inexperienced Tom Reynolds making the decision as Walt Weiss was still recovering from an appendectomy.
