Rockies at Dodgers, 5/17/2015

Notes:

On paper, Marty Foster called a game in which both teams received about the same gifts.  You can see that he had a rather large strike-zone, with seven pitches called for strikes being in the Adjusted Strike-Zone area.  There were some interesting calls. Specifically, this strike to Blackmon from Bolsinger in the 5th (at which Charlie was disgusted):


This call to Car-go in the 6th:


And two that went against the Dodgers - both sliders from Boone Logan that seemed to mesmerise Marty Foster.  This one to Rollins in the 8th:


And a few batters later to Adrian Gonzalez:


In a one run game every call is important and these four were pretty bad.  The good news is they evened out for the most part.


Close Calls & Reviews:

In the bottom of the second the Dodgers challenged an out call at second base on a steal attempt by Justin Turner. Watching live, I did not see any angles that showed a beneficial look. It was very close, but I have to say that I don't really see why Don asked for a review.
