On paper, Marty Foster called a game in which both teams received about the same gifts. You can see that he had a rather large strike-zone, with seven pitches called for strikes being in the Adjusted Strike-Zone area. There were some interesting calls. Specifically, this strike to Blackmon from Bolsinger in the 5th (at which Charlie was disgusted):
This call to Car-go in the 6th:
And two that went against the Dodgers - both sliders from Boone Logan that seemed to mesmerise Marty Foster. This one to Rollins in the 8th:
And a few batters later to Adrian Gonzalez:
In a one run game every call is important and these four were pretty bad. The good news is they evened out for the most part.
Close Calls & Reviews:
In the bottom of the second the Dodgers challenged an out call at second base on a steal attempt by Justin Turner. Watching live, I did not see any angles that showed a beneficial look. It was very close, but I have to say that I don't really see why Don asked for a review.
